I am also typing this with tears streaming down my face, It is never easy to say goodbye and everytime I read a post such as yours it always makes me think of how it was when I said goodbye to my own special friends.

i cried too. it's never the right time for our loved ones to go. take your time to remove or put into storage his things, sometimes just seeing these little pieces of him can stop you and let you remember, grieve and eventually laugh at the great times you had with him. it takes time, no need to hurry, he's safe in your heart.

I'm so sorry for your loss....It's so hard. I lost my "best" dog Spike,
also a long coat , 3 yrs ago March & its still hard,, but there are times now
that I sit & laugh at all the fun we had........
