That is so great!  Congratulations to you both.  I love it when people do therapy work with their GSD.  I think it helps dispel certain opinions people have about the breed such as they are vicious, aggressive, and not to be trusted.

Good Job Angusmom!  When my nephew was in rehab from a car accident, I brought Wolfgang, "Our male"  to the hospital he was in. I asked the staff if i could bring him in to see our nephew, they almost begged me to do it. Wolf did a great job with all the people in wheel chairs. I knew he would be good around people, I didn't worry about him  biting anyone. The people loved him and he did real good, the only advice I'll give you is to let them do there business before taking them inside. Like I said Wolf did great till he took a dump in the hallway, everyone was laughing, lucky for me a nurse said she would clean it up because she did it all the time for some of the patients. LOL.

Congratulations! Very, very cool! The dogs are always well recieved, and really do touch many lives. Our therapy dog has retired, so my hospice unit doesn't get a visit anymore, too bad. We miss her.

Blueshep......too funny! jh

thanks everyone! and blueshep, i always make sure he's done his "dooty" before we go anywhere! plus, he's a bit "anal" (pun intended) - he won't go anywhere else if he knows we're going home soon. then, about a mile from the house, i hear "oooofffff ooooooffffff offooofffffffff". as soon as he's out of the car, he hits the lawn! or, he runs like mad thru the house to the backyard! silly dog.  my oldest sis won't go poo in a foreign country!!!! we went to mexico for 4 days and her stomach kept getting bigger and bigger! as soon as we got back to the usa, RELIEF! glad we weren't gone  longer! she stays in the us now-silly woman. i wish i could have seen your face when he squatted! it's tough working with dogs and kids!
