I doubt if I pay to get a membership the price diff will help my pocketbook at the end of the year. Not to mention we don't have a Costco anywhere near here. I'll stick with Orijen when not feeding RAW.

Amy make sure you look at the right food before you make a statment lol there are two Vet's choice, one is made by independent company in NY, and the other by RC. Two different foods. BTW mix reviews come only from people that never used it, while the good one's from the one that actually used it, lol SSDD.

We were Solid Gold feeders for a very long time until just recently- The kibs changed, looked different smelled different and it was taken off of the "Whole Dog Journal" list of approved foods. We switched to Orijen and we are better yet the dogs are very happy with it. It is not cheap but we buy it buy 500-1000 pound palets so we save a little by spending alot.

I feed raw meaty bones but I keep 4 small bags of kibble to feed a few times a week so that I have emergency food that does not need refrigeration. The 4 small bags will last a long time. It is very expensive but it is only a small part of his diet.

WOW! Lots of ingredients in that Instinct food! What is Montmorillonite Clay?

by RoZoAn on 08 January 2009 - 00:01
Just "Googled" Montmorillonite Clay and found this definition:
Montmorillonite is a very soft phyllosilicate mineral that typically forms in microscopic crystals, forming a clay. It is named after Montmorillon in France. Montmorillonite, a member of the smectite family, is a 2:1 clay, meaning that it has 2 tetrahedral sheets sandwiching a central octahedral sheet. The particles are plate-shaped with an average diameter of approximately 1 micrometre.
It is the main constituent of the volcanic ash weathering product, bentonite.
