Use one of the products like "Simple Solution" or Oxy Clean. Such products will oxidize the biological matter left and that will also kill any bacteria there and your odor should resolve with a little elbow grease. Test the product on a swatch of fabric where it will not matter just to see how the fabric reacts to the product.
Good luck.

The best cure is Odo-Ban this can be bought usually at a Sam's Club but if you don't have one close by try online. This product also works on a dog which has an encounter with a skunk, or so we were told by the person doing the demo at the store. There are 2 kinds of the Odo-Ban, I used the one which can be used as a spot cleaner on carpet which takes the stain out nicely. And then I used the other Odo-Ban as a deodorizer. The smell and stain was gone.
Good Luck.

Mystere thats what I was just going to suggest. The skunk remedy I don't know the exact amounts but this seems to work: 1 cup peroxide, one quarter cup baking soda, one tsp. Dawn type dish soap ( cuts oil in skunk spray). Good luck!

The only product I know that will work is Odo Ban from Sam's club. I use it for the house in washing tennis shoes and area rugs. I also use it in the kennels and on my patios.
It comes with a spray bottle ready for use and a gallon that makes 32 gallons in all.
It has eucalyptsis and is a disinfectant and I have used it for years. It also can be used a an ant killer on mounds.

Natures Miracle, works wonders and can be found in pet stores. I had a brand new car not over 24 hours old, daughters dog threw up and let lose with runny stools. I was so thrilled. I have used this stuff for a few years and it REALLY WORKS! We told my husband when he got home and found car capets in the front yard drying, I got sick in the car! The test is summers and hot days, when you can only smell sunshine!
I had 4 dogs in the back of a highlander when she got sick, my 2 older ones jumped the seat to the mid back trying to escape and the pup rolled in it then kept trying to follow the others over the seat, so it was everywhere!
