Glad you all got something out of this! (I'll keep looking Oaklawn!)

Yes AandA - you can have food drive, you can have hunt drive, you can have ball drive etc.etc. and these can all be useful in training. But they don't really say anything much about the core temperament of the dog - just that it likes to eat, chase/look for things, and goes nuts for a toy LOL. She is focusing on the PRIMARY components of temperament, which people often have problems with - in and out of training situations- because they don't understand where the dog is coming from.
