KC, check out this chunky, hunky male. All male, great pigmentation, and no extremes. Probably a little to stuffy for some folk here, but I think he is a great looking male. Tudoro Van Noort, he is for sale on todays board.

The great Norbo Ben-Ju is my all time favorite. I would have loved to see him work and am blessed to own a dog of his lineage.

VELMI DOBRY NORBO BEN-JU

zacsmum, I see someone agrees with you and has snapped him up!   I also think he is quite the hunk.

There is a lot of hype and hyperbolic claims made about Norbo, who is of course a very famous dog.

I have never had the opportunity to see him work for myself.

Does anyone have some videos or links...apart from these ones? I would be interested to see why people claim he is so special???? Apart from the fact that Jinopo, Czech "Border patrol" dogs were once, or maybe even now by some, considered to be able to walk on water. Not looking to contraqdict anyone but only to convince myself by looking at some good quality or trial videos.

The helper in these training videos was falling about a bit too easily for my liking, "made for television" to be honest.

I think my second favorite dog would have to be Mambo z Pohranicni Straze, excellent working dog.  I'm very excited to be getting a male puppy out of his upcoming litter with Fatyma.  Due less than two weeks now.

I also have met Karo Herdersfarm in person. This dog is a once in a lifetime dog, and when you look at him, his eyes tell it all. His eyes are the soul of his heart, and he passes it on to his offspring. I know the owner Nina, and she is a grand lady!

I have to agree with Yellowrose, Zidane vom Haus Sevens is my favorite.  Not only is he the most breathtaking, indescribable dog I've met, but he possesses confidence, intelligence, and masculinity that you will only experience if you meet him.  Also defines clear and level-headed, not aggressive at all, very aware and worships his owner.  He also produces FINE offspring, both on and off the Schutzhund field.  And he's a very handsome dog with a massive head and the softest coat! I have a son of his who come from a bad situation.  I got him when he was 4.5 years old and started his Schutzhund training then, with me, a first time handler, and he's doing really well and it's all natural...no training on the dog until he was 4.5 years old.  Besides being my companion for Schutzhund, he's the most loyal, faithful dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning...more intelligent than I thought a dog could be.  VERY clear and level-headed and he's not had a plush, nice life.  Lives in the house now and is well mannered but don't let his calm, cool temperament fool you...he is definitely protective and high drive.  He can find a toy or tennis ball no matter where you hide it and my fiancee uses him to track me down and "herd" me back to the house when I have been gone too long (we live in the sticks so lots of land to wander around on).  He also catches on to phrases very fast, so there are no secrets from him.  He will play as long as you will play with him (you will not outlast him).  His obedience is very nice and pronounced.  He's truly a dog who can handle everything, from hiking for hours, to going to Lowes with me, to Schutzhund club, to protecting me, and so on....my friend, my companion, my protection dog.  Nice sized dog too...weighs about 100 lbs and is lean and muscular. That's why I am a big fan of Zidane....not only is he out of this world...he produces dogs who are spectacular.  Oh yeah...I was a show line person until I got my Zidane son....now, only working lines for me.  I hope to add a Zidane daughter (as a young pup) to the family in '09...that's my Christmas list...more Zidane!

KC, how about Hill himself? Beautiful dog, great work ethic, and he passed it on. I like Hill myself. Of course, I also like Ursus Batu.
