That's great Liz! You know, if just a few dozen of us were to write....? The KC don't want any more bad publicity, to refuse to implement these few changes would mean that they're standing in the way of real and necessary progress............... how would that look?
Shepherd people trying to improve the health and welfare of their breed and the KC preventing them from doing so!
C'mon... write to your MP............. PLEASE!

Vets will strongly support Health Screening Tests being linked to Kennel Club Registrations. If we can obtain the strong support of the British Veterinary Association (BVA) on this issue, it would be significant progress.
Perhaps the GSD "partnership" can prepare a standard letter on this issue, that can be used by ALL breeders and owners of "PEDIGREE DOGS" to send to their Vets, and to the BBC.

Now that would be brilliant as i am sure there are a lot of people would love to write a letter but just do not know how to go about it. If there were a standard letter which we could download this would make it easier for a lot of us. liz

Bancroft - Im like you and would like all dogs used in the UK to have BVA scoring however I cant see that happening. However I see no reason why dogs born in the UK and used in the UK shouldnt HAVE to be BVA scored rather than taking them to Germany.
Do you have any suggestions as to how we push the KC into accepting and implementing this for our breed?
