TIG,

I don't want to breed that closely on Mutz as I think he was not such a good hip producer.  A 2-3 on Mutz could be a disaster!  The last breeding I did with this bitch was a 3-3 on Aly Vordersteinwald.

I think I am going to stick with Basko Heldmann.  This gives me a nice 4-4 on Karlo Peko Haus and Basko is reprducing himself well.  He is 1/2 brother to Javir Talka Marda (sp?) who won the BSP this year and he is 1/2 brother to Verdi Karthago and I have seen this dog work and he is impressive to say the least!  Also, Basko has competed in the BSP, WUSV and the USA Naitionals, so I am really liking this pairing!

I do however like this last dog, Jago, as I am a huge Gildo Korbelbach fan!

If you like Gildo, try this for a 5,5 linebreeding on his mother, Umsa Bungalow. Very hard to make a linebreeding on Umsa these days.   http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/para.utkoma?fadir=123658&modir=496198

All interesting suggestions above, but I wouldn't go to linebreeding four times to Fero... or any other dog for that matter.

Vicki, what does her Koer report say? Any recommendations or warnings that could be of use?  I remember her being quite tall so personally, I would go with a medium sized male, perferably dark Black/Tan, with very good substance/bone and a really good coat.  If not Dago lines, perhaps Falk lines.

We have been really pleased with out Basko puppies....

Heike (Basko daughter)...

What would be the purpose of this breeding and why and how would it be any different from all the other back yard breeders?.have a nice one.just a thought.

Held--is a troll and a stalker.  Seems he is following me from thread to thread trying to bait me into a fight or insult me!  If you guys click on his name and read several of his previous posts you will see him for what he is!

Troja is a super nice bitch and the purpose for this breeding for me is to obtain a "home bred" puppy that I will keep back for competition...not just a dog bought with it's titles as I have been criticized for!

Different from other back yard breeders?  Hmmm,,,,most backyard breeders breed regardless of the dogs quality, pedigree, or health (hip/elbow) status!  This dog was hand picked by a friend of mine who flew over to Germany and worked the dog!  She was bred to Ellute Mohenweise and whelped that litter here in the USA.  These puppies(they are nearly 2 years old now) are PHENOMINAL!  Most breed for money and frankly, I am not out to make a living doing this!  Not that it is any of your business but Troja isn't my dog but a dog that is owned by a client of mine, a pet sitting client!  I have actually nothing to gain, I will have to pay for a puppy from this breeding just like anyone else!  But, I do have more knowledge in the pedigree department and in working the dog in Schutzhund than the owner has.  The owner trusts my judgement and I will not let her down!

Nice try to smear me though, Mr. Held!

Heike has a gorgeous expression. Gotta love that bi-color, too. I'll bet she's a fun girl to be around and work.

this is a message board and any one can give thier two cents if you do not like it and can not handle criticism then u should not post here.it was just a simple thought and lot of back yard breeders have imported titled dogs that they are breeding and just to get one puppy for yourself is not good enough reason to breed what u gonna do with the rest like u do not have enough puppies in the us.

by joonbug on 21 November 2008 - 19:11

Held, I can't see why you have an issue with quality animals being bred in the hopes of creating more quality animals. I'm sorry for you if you can't distinquish a well thought out, quality breeding vs. any two dogs being thrown together.

Your female looks excellent, but she is already line-bred on Fero, so I would find a stud that had no Fero in his pedigree.  Like my dog H'Doc v Rex Lupus Schh3,FH2 (100 pts),KKl-1, a-normal HD/ED ZW69!!!!  He could improve hips.  Very nice pedigree, temperament, nerve, drives, size, structure.  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/558720.html
