Well if the truth be known, the reason they have to hunt is because of liberal anti-hunting groups that were able to get legislators that were ignorant or life cycles to ban hunting.  Just as the white tail deer in KY, they severely limited hunting, then overpopulation and disease killed the majority of the population, the Elk in CO, they get less elk on the ground than they need to control the resident herd, so what do they do, raise the price of tags, the Mountain Lion, were near extinction, so we were told, so they stopped hunting, now they are so populated they are killing all the mule deer, and now the hunting on mule deer is restricted.  I have 100s of examples where the anti hunting crowd has damaged wildlife populations, and now we see the wolf, as in WY and in AK, the coyote in the east, the reintroduce and protect, now all the quail and pheasant are gone.  I can think of scores of examples where the government has caused many more problems than they caused.

Hodie, you know better than that referring to the god comment, I myself am not religious at all, but every election cycle, all the liberals, try to scare the general population with the theocracy government.  Because someone is a believer that means we are all going to be put through the Spanish inquisition?  People believe for their own reasons, and if it makes her feel better to hope that we are doing gods will well that on her, and I am uncertain how it affects you in anyway.  The main point is Christianity has come a long way in the last 1000 years do to the increase in education in general population and the enlightenment, industrial revolution, they have adapted their religion to try to meet the modern population.  Some other religions have not.  And yet it is totally over looked by liberals when "their" candidate says "God will guide my decisions in the Whitehouse"  (Oboma)  Why is that statement not lambasted by liberals, because it is OK for liberals to have religious views and not conservatives?  I myself am not a Christian or any other religion for that matter; however, I can see it is used as a weapon by the left to paint people as a theocrat, only when convenient for them.

My second question is, and I agree Palin is not ready to be president, however, I am uncertain how Bill Clinton was, Hillary now is more ready now then he was when he was elected, and a shinning example was Jimmy Carter, and the latest is Oboma, can anyone explain to me how he is ready, how many world leaders he has met, and how does 150 days in the senate prepares him for the world stage.

The interview by far was not a homerun, but I am uncertain why Palin draws so much attention for that when Oboma without his teleprompter says things like "that’s above my pay grade"

Wolves do NOT need to be run to the point of exhaustion and then shot from a plane. Big game hunting is a huge business in Alaska.  Palin et al want to kill off the wolves to allow the caribou etc to grow larger and make more desirable trophies for people like Ted Nugent. Don't be fooled, it's not about saving the livestock; it's about the same old - lining the pockets of the elite.

LOL, this discussion is a hoot. Washington, Adams and Abe sought God's Will and hoped they were doing it but Sarah is an extremist for doing so. What logic.

Not one person that has posted is a wildlife biologist and knows anything about why these  wolves are being shot from airplanes and don't want to know the truth because they act emotionally instead of on facts. Their biologists recommended it for overpopulation and if there was not a valid reason for doing so, some wildlife protection wacko group in Alaska would sue in federal court and get it stopped but they know the courts would back the hunting because of valid reasons.

As far that wildlife organization, it is anti-hunting and therefore only respected by those who don't like hunting (but do eat meat, disclipine their animals, keep pets in kennels, cages, tanks, wear leather, etc.). The comment on hunting me from an airplane shows that ridiculous extreme view.

palin's advocating of aerial slaughter of wolves is indicative of her character. she is no fiscal conservative,, no matter how many times she says so. she left her little town $20 million in debt. she has sought hundreds of millions in earmarks for alaska, yet somehow she is "against" them. she still doesn't understand that iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11, even sending off her son to fight.

barak obama is not an antichrist. the book of revelation actually references antichrists. i always thought that ronald reagan was an antichrist (666), but, i guess there's more than 1 and we may have been living under their rule for more than 7 years. nowhere is a physical description given in the Bible. i've gotten the stupid email and was smart enough to just delete the filthy thing. some of you out there in cyperspace should just come out of the racist closet and be done with it.

You guys are missing the point I hope you are ready to pay 5.00 to 6.00 a gallon for gas. Prices in Michigan are already 5.00 in some places. War takes gas and oil from the general population. Which in turn causes prices to rise. Now a natural disaster comes along and watch out. Keep voting republican and see what happens. Since most posters here are doing so much better than 8 years ago just go ahead and elect McBush. I would actually love to see Bush in office for 8 more years I say let him finish wrecking this country in the pretext of getting rid of terrorists. Make no mistake their was no terrorists in Iraq because Saddam did not trust them he was worried about them coming after his on butt. So let George say all he wants that it was done cause of terrorists but anyone who knows, knows better.

As far as Palin cant she come up with a different speech in 2 weeks she has repeated the same stuff over and over. I dont think she can come up with anything original. Just continue to repeat the same stuff over and over and over.

We will smoke Bin Laden out of his cave, yeah right George what are you smoking. We have probably never been close to him cause we have spent all our resources trying to win a war that did not need to be fought.

If you are going to post this crap on a gsd board at least stick to the issues which are the economy. Cracks me up we can bail out all these big companies but we cant help the people who are losing their homes, jobs and lives.

Palin disputed the characterization, pointing out she was paraphrasing Abraham Lincoln, who said, "Let us not pray that God is on our side in a war or any other time, but let us pray that we are on God’s side."

As for gas prices, blame the demonrats who refuse to let us get the oil we have from Alaska, off our coasts, and shale oil. In shale oil alone, we have more reserves than the Saudis but demoncraps put them off limit. Then no new refineries are allowed while demand has grown which drives up prices. Then demonrats won't allow nuclear plants to generate electricity (France gets 90% of their electricity from these plants) which would save the oil being burnt in the East and futher drive down oil prices.

Jobs going overseas started under Klinton when he got NAFTA approved

The economy was doing fine until two years ago and guess what. The demoncraps took control of Congress and it's gone downhill since then while gas prices have doubled.

i just heard that iraq's government has rescinded the "no-bid" oil contracts with chevron, etc and has awarded them to CHINA.  remember when the iraqi oil money was gonna pay for the war? well, they have over 80 billion dollar surplus (thanks to the american taxpayer), but we just keep on getting deeper and deeper into debt with china and others. we used to be the biggest LENDER nation in the world, now we are the biggest DEBTOR nation. thanks, president bush. and now, our great iraqi government allies have just rewarded us further. maybe it's payback for esssentially bombing their country to hell. i wonder what saudi arabia is up to lately? palin is just another neocon shill, willing to sell her soul out for any kind of power. alot of women can work and maintain their families, but i think she needs to concentrate a bit more in her unwed teenage daughter and special needs baby. he is only going to need more attention as he gets older. i think the united states of america can spare her. really.

Thats why the economy boomed in the Clinton years. the economy was already failing before the dems came into power. It was the first Bush who did not want to drill off shore.

Anyone can change anyting they say after the fact I heard her at the convention say this war was from god. Then she repeats it like 6 times in every speech she has given since then put now she means something else, please.

Blame the greed mongers who can only see all the money that can be made but if oil was to drop to 30.00 a barrel. All of a sudden the dumbpublicans cap all the wells. Oil companies already own way more leases than they can drill in a reasonable time. Besides all the studies I have read say gas prices would only drop .02 to .04 a gallon wow big savings.

Oil prices go up and the next day gas prices go up but let oil prices fall and gas prices still go up. Record big oil profits again. Besides up till 2 years ago Repubes had controll of the oval and congress and oil refiners did not get built cause then when one went down they could raise the price again.

Dont you people want a president that can say you know what screw all this lets work together to make this country better.

obama did shake plenty of servicepeoples hands. he' s also voted FOR our servicemen and women, something mccain seems to have forgotten to do. while obama advocated FOR our servicemen/women and their treatment and benefits, mccain was AGAINST the latest bill, explaining that it gave them TOO much and if their benefits were too good, they wouldn't feel compelled to stay in the military. obama voted FOR the latest bill, mccain couldn't be bothered to vote AT ALL.  maybe that explains why enlisted servicemen/women contribute financially to barack obama more than 3 times what they gice to mccain. mccain is also on record agreeing with a woman that the draft will be necessary if we go to war with iran or russia or....

many of us who hunt or have hunters in our families find aerial slaughter of wolves revolting. it's cowardly and sadistic. i would bet good money the same "hunters" who enjoy running a wolf to exaustion and then blasting it to hell would pay to do the same to people. if they could only get away with it. they are not true hunters.

and now, i'm done. i apologize to all those who are sick of these types of postings and to everyone else in the world who doesn't inflict their political rantings on those around them. good night and good luck to those in texas with IKE.

That's interesting, Angusmom, since I just read that the bank of China is going broke and is in dire need of money.
