The goodness shines through in her smile. Pat was 79 yrs. old, an awesome specimen when I met her at 58 and still about half a "toots" above in her Golden Years. She survived and thrived through cervical cancer, breast cance AND melanoma, two hips replacements. Hard to keep a good woman down, but bone cancer did her in. I think she was "ready" to go. when I spoke to her about a week ago, she never mentioned a thing. Typical Pat. :-D

Wow Shelley so sorry to hear. Was she in Oroville Hospital last week? I spent quite a bit of time in the Oroville ICU last week with my grandpa, who went in Memorial day and just came home Friday. If you do fly out, feel free to lemme know if you need a ride from the airport up to her family. Hoping I can spare you a rental car fee.

Pat was in Oroville Hospital. She passed early Sunday morning. I really want to be there this Satuday morning to say a few words if I can possibly manage it. I would need all the help I can get, but I'm hoping I CAN make it. Sad most of the people who would be there have predecesed us both.

Sucks getting old.

Shelley I'm very sorry for your loss.  She sounds like she was the kind of person most of us would like to be.

I'm sorry for your loss, Shelley. We would all like to be deserving of such great friends. Who better to keep your loved ones company?

My condolences to you, Shelley, and to all of her family and friends on the loss of such a wonderful woman.

I also believe that she has been reunited with those that have passed before her and they are all free from the confines of old, weak and ill bodies...

I'm thinking she has Onyx's obedience whipped into shape by now.

Wish I could afford to go to the memorial service Saturday morning, but I cannot. Sucks being poor.
