Shelley Strohl

The rest of us can get the B and titles under USA or DVG judges and koer under Grewe and McIntyre.

The rest of us??? That would kind of narrow down the opportunities for getting a breed survey US nation-wide, would it not? Like there are SO many opp's as it is... Like it or not folks. USA is not yet ready to stand on its own in some areas.

they are sending bitches to Germany to be bred and thus need the SV imprimatur. Or, they want to show in the German SS, so they need the SV koermsiters and Judges so the dog can get a V.

Yup. that would be me, although it may well not be a show bitch I take to another country to breed, or show, or get a Korung on...  Come to think of it, all but one of the females I've taken to Germany for breeding were working line females. Sure, ther were dogs I liked in the US, but the gene pool is still pretty limited here, and its often cheaper to take them over there than it is to fly across our own fair country with them. One of the dogs I really like in the US is now charging $2K for a breeding (+ travel & vet expenses, of course) For that I can take TWO overseas, breed them both, bring home a couple of pups from hard-to-get bloodlines, and have a swell vacation in the bargain.

You cracked me up with the prayer, Real Dog. Good stuff.

"Ski the rule does not say you can not get a koer with non Sv judges just says it will not be recognized by the SV ."

I know.  But, who (just a few) are sending their dogs to compete or breed in Europe.  Most dogs are bought and bred there and then shipped here.

Shelley,

I may have to make a trip to Wisconsin in time to hang around for their regionals.  Are you still planning to enter?
