Jasmine,
I am a man with many hat's. I have my bad point's but I have a few good one's as well.
I like to laugh and enjoy life. I can work hard and play hard, and I've never left a woman disapointed....:)
All kidding aside I am an animal person, any kind of animal you can think of. I have four GSD's and spend a lot of time with them. I've spent my whole life loving nature and the animal kindom. I pay attention to everything. We can learn much from the natural world.
A good dog is only rivaled by a good horse. My most unique pet was a timber rattle snake that almost bit me.
I come here mostly to socialize, I do glean much useful knowledge and I want to learn more about training dog's but I'm not a fanatic about bloodline's or title's. My dog's are family member's and protector's.
Freak's are great by the way... remind's me of the 60's...:)
Brent.

Snowman quote: "Christ you two, get a room!"
at least nobody is bashing on this thread...kinda nice that way.
Windwalker, crossing my fingers as well. Hope you will soon be joined by a fluffy bundle of love (settle down Two Moons...I am thinking four-legged) to bring you joy and enrichment.

LOL..... I really like you guys, my kind of people..... I'm here to gather as much knowledge as possible. I do not take anything as gospel, but you all are ALLOT more experienced then I am, and I appreciate all of the tips and pointers!
Thank you!

Fluffy bundle of love.....:)
Sound's like a puppy.
There's nothing about puppy's not to love. Little puppy tongue's, puppy breath, puppy puddle's on the floor...:)
Stinky,
Glad you got a good one. So many complain about problem's. A good breeder mean's everthing.
Brent.

I'm pretty new here, but my love for GSDs goes back to high school. I worked in a boarding kennel on weekends and there was a gorgeous black import that the kennel manager said was worth an incredible $800! He was the calmest dog in the kennel the weekend he was there.
I've had many dogs over the last 13 years, mostly rescues. We currently have 2 GSDs - Remy (unknown pedigree, but I say couch potato bloodlines) about 6 adopted from animal control and Georgia (workingline) adopted as a rehome from her breeder. We're working on therapy dog certification and beginning schutzhund. I'd love a puppy, but my husband says we have enough canine poundage per square foot of house.
I like blues but admit to sneaking in 80s rock on the sly. Give me some salmon on the grill and some Guiness, and I'm a happy girl! (I also have 3 kids and a husband, but they just help out with dog chores)

I am VERY new to the site. I am a Firefighter/Paramedic and a member of a Search and Rescue Volunteer team. I train and work 3 cadaver dogs plus a new 10 week old pup for future training. :o) I also train 2 live find USAR dogs. Don't yell, scream or shout but I have 4 beagles. :o) 3 are trained for cadaver and 1 is trained for live find USAR. :o) Years ago I found a GSD on the side of the road, Heidi. She had been abused (very head shy and agressive to men who smoked) and VERY skinny. I took her home and she became mine wether I wanted her or not. She became my trailing dog but is retired now and raises the pups for me. :o) I have no idea what Heidi's breeding was/is, she is large about 85 lbs. Black & Tan Rin-Tin-Tin type and has never been any trouble or had any health issues. She is smart, loyal and always willing to please mom. Several handlers on my team have great GSD's so when I retired Heidi I purchased a female GSD from a breeder in Ocala with German working lines. Wow the drive is incredible, Audi is an amazing dog and now 15 months old and has done everything I have asked of her. Audi is being trained for USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) live find and I just started her in Schutzhund, which I know NOTHING about!!!!!!! Her breeder is helping me to make sure I don't screw her up!!!! Audi has more potential and drive than I think I have the ability to tap. :o( I have been so happy and impressed with Audi, that I purchased another pup, Carney, 10 week old female GSD from the same breeder. Carney and Audi are out of the same dam. :o) I will be walking on clouds if Carney becomes half the dog Audi is.
Wind Walker my breeder has 2 dark sable male pups (siblings) of Carney for sale. Just food for thought, I don't think you would be disapointed. :o) Jill's email address is k9queengsd@yahoo.com. She has been a great breeder to work with and we have become friends. Take a look at Carney's pedigree and see if you would be interested. You can view the siblings from there. Carney von der Teitiaroa.
I have been reading the threads in an attempt to educate myself with Schutzhund and GSD's. My beagles are very bullheaded (like their mom) but have great noses and easy to haul to searches, etc.. There are pro's & con's to different breeds and sizes within the SAR community. At times I struggle with my beagles but at other times they are easier due to their size. Over all I have been spoiled by Audi who is a true pleasure to work with. She bends over backwards to please me. :o) When I say jump, she says how high mom. :o) What else could I ask for??? I was bit in the face by a GSD as a child and have always been afraid of them. I love animals; I have 8 dogs, 6 cats, 1 bird and fish. I have owned horses, cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits, etc. :o) I rescued Heidi from the side of the road but she truely rescued me and opened my heart and the door for Audi & Carney. She will always be my number One. :o)
