Well, if you should decide to head my way, I am in Claremore, by Tulsa. My kennel is being finished this weekend so we have 8 indoor/outdoor runs! Dogs and kids welcome!!
Be safe!

There are some awesome satellite and other images and loops of Gustav just now crossing the western half of Cuba on the weather web sites. It does look like the storm will head directly toward LA, unless some steering currents aloft veer it a bit one way or the other. This storm has catestrophic rains with it as well and certainly will spawn tornadoes, so where ever one moves, be sure to remain alert. There is another storm following to the east now, slightly more northerly, named Hanna and it looks like it may head to Florida. Still yet a third storm with hurricane potential off the east coast of Africa. It seems the hurricane season is going to be very active with some very serious storms. Once Gustav crosses Cuba, it will likely re-strenghen. It is a huge hurricane and a lot of people will be affected in the Gulf Coast area because of storm surge, so get inland.
Good luck to all of you and keep yourself informed and prepared.

I'm sorry, I started a thread to wish all of the people who are in the path of the storm good luck, I didn't realize a thread about the hurricane was already up. I wish I had more to offer than luck, I will keep you all in my prayers.

Good Luck & God Bless you All.....please stay safe, The National Weather Service is predicting 20" of rain 12-14 foot storm surge, in addition to the winds; please choose on the side of caution if you have to decide where to stay...higher & farther is better. You'll be in our prayers. jackie harris
