A few questions.
How long have you raw fed? 18 years
Have you or any adult member of your household been sickened with salmonella or e-coli? Never
Did you raw feed around young children and did they get sickened with salmonella or e-coli from the dogs or any other source? Yes, young children have handled raw food for the dogs....never gotten sick. The raw food is always handled (myself included) wearing disposable medical gloves.

Assuming the food is fresh or thawed the bacteria would need time to grow so the key is to prepare chicken for ourselves or the dogs quickly combined with hand washing and sanitizing the work area. RAW over 5 yrs - still learning

You know my daughters (12 and 9) help feed and hygene is a biggie in our household because of the number of us so I really am not worried. It's like anything else you just have to have common sense.
Feeding raw one month now, dont know why didnt start sooner. Breeding Shepherds 14 years. Everything about them is improving. Energy levels, teeth, coat. The whole nine yards. Wont go back to kibble.

Feeding raw four years CURRENTLY. No sickness, dog or people. Daughter was 8 when we started.
I fed raw 12 years to dogs I had back many years ago. I got most of my bones and meat from a neighborhood slaughter house for free. I had a son who was then 4 who grew up with the dogs, and no one ever got sick from it, dog or people.
