Taunya has explained it enough for me - she went above and beyond the norm to attempt to make this customer happy. I'm sorry to see a breeder/seller slammed like this when obviously they don't deserve such treatment. Taunya, all you can do is defend yourself, make sure everyone knows what really happened, and then keep on doing a good job as you do with your dog business. You'll be fine.

From the email communication posted on the other thread here:

...I think an additional $1000.00 on top of the vet bills is fair, after that we know the decision to keep her regardless of her life long thyroid condition and anaplasmosis is up to us and we will accept and deal with that. Dawn
Okay. I think that is fair. T
...I always said I would pay the vet- the spay and then we would figure out the rest once she recovered.
If I bought a horse who developed issues, I would want to wait until the recovery was under way to assess the extent of damage before I decided what needed to be done. I have spoken to Josef about which dog would work as a replacement if Billa did not recover fully. He sent videos of her daughter to me yesterday and asked if you would like to have her. If Billa is not going to be able to perform, I wanted to get a dog to you who could take care of your problems and protect the family.
If Billa will recover fully, you don't need another dog. Only time will tell that you have to wait. ...
So basically the vet bills were paid, you were given an additional $1000.00 for your inconvenience, you were offered a replacement dog but chose to keep Billa.
Seems to me Taunya did everything she could to make you happy.
What were you looking for? Lifetime medical on the dog? Nobody gives that.

Taunya,
You stand behind your dogs and that is what has given you the great reputation you have today. When when I received Guido and was concerned that he was not the right dog for me you immediately offered to take him back no problem. I am glad that I didn't send him back though as he has turned into an awesome dog. I adore him. I can not believe he will be 4 next month. His work ethic has really kicked in and he is enjoying obedience and agility training. I am showing him this fall in novice agility. Hope to be out in the spring for his CD. All he wants to do is please, what a great dog.
Keep up the good work. By the way I love the Ozzy son Matej on your web site, I can't believe no one has sucked him up, he looks awesome. I will send you some updated picutres of Rex (Guido) soon.

dawngypsygirl wanted to feel that she was treated with respect and dignity. That her spending $6000.00 entiled her to at least that much. Whether she was or wasn't is a matter of debate but I'm sure she felt that she was being treated as a second class citizen and was not a matter of priority.

I posted to the other thread but I'll post here too (I editing out the reference to a post not on this thread):
I think Eurosport is doing the right thing and Dawn's expectation are not unreasonable it's just taking sometime to wade through the strong reactions to this very stressful situation. I too would have been in shock had I been either Dawn Or Tauyna. I think they both got to a bad place with each other, both braced for a bad time of it , but it appears as if things may be beginning to smooth out. Just shows how important communication and reassurance is (and re-reading emails before replying:) In highly charged situations like this it's hard to stay level headed and folks need to find their way back to level. Plus the timing was clearly bad for both parties, both had lots of other factors stressing them. Clear they have a ways to go but I hope they can continue moving in a positive direction. IMO taking sides not helpful. After reading both perspectives my impression is these are 2 very reasonable people pushed to the max so lets give them both a break here and help if we can and not polarize the situation farther.

Susan

ps this situation would not stop me from dealing with either party involved. shit happen we all know it and we all make mistakes. this is just normal life stuff but to me a measure of a person is not the mistakes they've made but their willingness to let go of them so they can make it right. so the question is: are you willing to clean up your mess? my money's on both these people.
my best,
susan

Taunya,
It is great that you came on here to tell your side of the story. It appears from what you have said, and what Dawn has said, that you have done everything that she asked of you. I do feel bad for Dawn that Billa became ill and I believe that you do also. Out of the thousands of deals that you have made one or two are bound to have unfortunate circumstances. You offerred to replace the dog and she declined. Enough said! (Are you listening LarryDee?)
