When my boys heat up, I have my woman give em a good coat of "Blue Star Ointment". Seems to do the trick.

Again something probably not related... but just in case this is a real novice person...  didja by some chance just have the dog altered?? and it's the scrotum that's swollen up?  This can happen if there's a bleeder post surgery... and usually the pressure of build up will stop it.  If it's hot, and the dog's bothering it... A vet should see it. If it's just a day or so after surgery then an ice compress might help reduce the inflamation as well as help stop any post op bleeding.  I know the boys didn't wanna think about the boys being on a perminate vacation... but thought I'd bring up the possiblity.

If not... still a good idea to have your guy see the Vet ASAP>

Did he pee in his crate?  I have seen dogs in the clinic with swollen scrotum because they peed in the crate while family was at work or not home and got urine scald on their balls.....if that is the case a tube of diaper rash ointment works well.

<<In all honesty dawgma did not really give enough information.>>

Yes he did.  Inflamed testicles.  That's enough information to answer the proper treatment question: Get To A Veterinarian Now.  Good lord, what more information does s/he need?

[Two Moons, I know what you mean - just couldn't resist]
