Heather and other's,
I wish to bring up the issue of file size when you post picture's, Many time's picture's from digital camera's have enormous file size's, mine are sometime's nearly a full mega bit per picture. Enough of these large picture's will cause a page to either not load or at least take ten minute's to load. The picture's of owner's thread is now so large that it doesn't load well for dial up user's. It doesn't load well for me with DSL now.
Not everyone has the software to alter photo's but most do. I resize the actual size (pixels) first, then save as give's me the option to change the file size(bit's) by selecting a lesser quality before I save as, rename the picture and preserve the original. I can cut the file size in half or better without losing any quality.
Then post.
AOL is very proprietary (controling) BTW. But you can alway's e-mail your photo to a friend without AOL.
Nice picture's here.
Brent.

If you are using a apple computer just open the photo in preview. Click on tools, scroll down an chose adjust size and save it and upload.

I tried again to send a photo from my picture folder, I did as stated as the instructions are very clear above post by GSD. I waited then a box came up telling me to post the URL. and saying it was invalid
I do not have a clue as to what it means
I double clicked on the photo etc then unloaded it as stated
I am a bit thick on computers and something i cannot seem to get right in posting a photo

Hi Steve,
Thats strange it'snot working. When you have double clicked the picture, are you then clicking on send to server or are you clicking ok, because that will bring up the message asking for the url.
It can take a little while for the pictures to show dependant on the size of the file and the type of connection you are using.
I had to try doing it a few times before i got the hang of it. It should work though.
I hope it will work for you. Nothing more frustrating than things not working.
Good luck

Ah Steve,
Are you saving your file as a jpeg image as photoshop may save the image in a different format and this is why you cant upload and send to the server.
Can you go onto the image you want to post and click save as and then choose jpeg and rename the image.
I think this could be the problem. Sorry if I am wrong. Once you have done this and the image is saved on your pc as a jpeg, try following the instructions at the beginning of this thread again.
I am sure photoshop may save as a psd file or something like that rather than a jpeg. Maybe I am wrong, but if it is the case and it did save as psd then it would be an invalid file type.
I hope this works for you. I am keeping my fingers crossed this is what the problem is as it is an easy solution.
