I just find that disapointing, because some people would like to breed survey their dog, or even breed if its a good dog, and then they are limited because of what what registry decides.

First X-rays sent to OFA dog came in heat next day OFA graded mild ( unilateral Subluxation ) Took film above 6 weeks later and sent then to OFA for a regrade and they sent me to same report as before. A phone call to ask questions about and was told that they would not change her rateing becasue it looks bad for them to change there rating. Not there probelm she came in heat. so we got them back and sent them to Germany she got A normal hips and Elbows. It is what it is ...
Does anyone see anything wrong with the hips in the picture?? just asking I dont see anything wrong with them and everyone that has seen them said they look great....

Psycht, I was wondering about that, didn't think it was a GSD.

I didn't know you could send your xrays to the SV if you lived in North America. Would it be possible for you to tell me how this is done? If my dog comes back again, Borderline/Mild, which no one I have shown the xrays to thinks he is, I would like to do this.

Weberhaus, I think I understand why OFA said mild HD. If you look at the right hip and notice the shape of the socket behind the ball, you can see it is not straight like the other side, it is cupped and shaped like a backward "C". That indicates that ball doesn't fit as tightly in the socket as it should, thus the subluxation diagnosis. Do you see what I'm talking about? I would have thought they'd have said mild HD, unilateral right. I would have expected the SV to say A2 which would roughly translate to OFA fair, borderline or mild. Bottom line - she is certified as normal by the SV and that's great!!
