Anita, Just bring him on down and lets work him:) I need some motivation to get out of the A/C!!
I have moved, so no longer "right down the road" but we do have a wonderful BIG park behind the house now.

In the future, I do have a list of chip numbers of dogs I have placed as well as some that went through the shelter and vet clinic. So many of us don't always get around to registering chips in our name that I though it would be helpful.

Palestar,

Are you close to tenn. border?  Pulaski, Tenn.?

Just curious, he looks a little like my black male who came from a breeder there.   He look's closer to two than three, mine's about the same age.   Thin short coat?   Tall?

Probably just my imagination, would be one hell of a coincidence.  And still would bo no way to track down an owner.

In the face he looks just like max.

Brent.

Mary,

That may be a possability....his paws are a little swollen from being out so I want him to have rest first.  Where are you now anyway? That is good to know about the chips.  I will post to the other list...something not related that I wanted to discuss with the group.

Brent:, he is tall but hes got a very (IMO) awesome coat, thick and dense....Ironically the "rescues" end up with the coats I am TRYING to get....go figure.... I am about 6 hours from the TN border (south).

Palestar,

I'm in Southern Indiana,  I drove to Pulaski to get my pup, I never knew how many were in the litter.  The woman I was told has since passed away.  She did advertise online.

They just look so much alike in the second picture with his head turned, the nose especially but the eye's too.    Mine was supposed to be solid black, but the color in his inner leg's and around the vent started to appear after his first birthday,  11/07/06.   He is bi-color , 80 pound's, long leg's.

This doesn't really show the similar nose and it's an old picture.

I wish you luck finding his owner, you might try a local news paper ad for lost and found.   He might not have travelled far.

Brent.

LOL LOL LOL

I know!  They ALLL look that way once they enter my home...I could tear down every fence I own and try and push a few of them out and it wouldn't work.

My friends joke around and tell me they want to come back as one of my dogs!

Incidently...the pic of him sitting up was him "asking" for pizza.

Thats where I've seen that look !!!

LOL.... I'f you don't give it to them quick enough they leave a puddle on the floor..

Mine druel at the sound of a bag of cheeze puff's being opened.

Hell, I'd keep him.

You should at least post a lost/found ad in your local paper and contact Animal Control to let them know you have the dog. There are a million reasons a dog could get away, maybe ther house was robbed, maybe there was a car accident, etc. Just because a dog is loose does not automatically mean he had a bad owner. What if he was your dog who got away and someone took him in and didn't contact the authorities to reunite you??
