And then there's Radar, who, while in intensive care after surgery, let himself out of his cage not once but THREE times -- this after an operation for a severe case of cauda equina that resulted in the installation of a plate and 6 screws.  But we are thankful for the drive that enables him to "keep on chuggin" despite his many infirmities.  Radar is only 18 months old and only just now showing signs that there MAY be an "off switch" there somewhere!

If you can survive the first 2 years......I just can't even begin to list all of Beckett's accomplishments, (all destruction!!!!) He is finally settling down. Now he is proud of himself for doing the things I ask him to do; instead of wrecking the place! But it leaves me with fewer stories to tell! My puppies are pretty tractable, so far. It's a tough road, those first few years, but if you can weather the storm, the pay off is huge....I couldn't ask for a better bud, now. jh

Another full grown DOMESTIC TERRORIST at large. LOL

I have a similar water story. Heike loves to play with water hoses. I am forever buying new replacement ends becasue she chews them off. I learned that I cannot leave them attached to the hose bib on the house however. She grabbed the hose one day and drug it out into the yard, ripping the bib off with it. Just like KCzaja's sister-in-law, I discovered my yard was flooded and all the dogs were a muddy mess. Water was spraying 25' across the yard. I shut the water off to the house and had to have a guy come out and replace the hose bib after trying unsuccessfully to do it myself. There are other destruction stories, but I am too tired to write about them. Heike cost me $1000s in repair sor replacing the stuff she destroyed. I told her I had to breed her because it was the only way she could pay me back for all the stuff she broke. LOL.

Ninja,

I LOVE the Domestic Terrorist statement!! That is soooo true.
