holy cow! this fella is only 9 mo old?!? he looks like a mature dog.......not a puppy at all. i might add, a very nice looking dog as well. the only thing i would worry about at this point is soundness - due to the fact that he grew so rapidly. if joints and connective tissue are in good shape, then you must be doing something right. good luck with him. he looks like a nice dog.

Some of the GSDs are reaching maturity weight much faster than previously seen, plus many of them are getting bigger too and therefore their weight will be greater than the norm.
It would be interesting if you could post his pedigree so that we can see what lines are going back to - might give an indication to what size he will end up.
I have a couple of dogs who dont eat if they are not hungry or if they have not had enough stimulation and are bored. Many GSDs will not over eat and he may be trying to tell you that he is getting enough. I have found with mine that the recommended amounts on the sacks are actually too much and result in overweight dogs, so he might just be trying to tell you enough is enough.

He looks great.
I would continue with Royal Canin.
I have no idea what chappie is.
A good nutrition diet of Royal canin is fine.
No bisquits needed. And at 9 months, one feeding is good. I feed two big scoops at evening.
Good luck.

Dont know what Chappie is either. That is why i ask him to post the ingredients as this vet told him to feed it. Royal Canin ought to be fine until he is 13 mos old and then you can go to all raw.

Alfie - I take it you are in the uk as you are feeding Chappie. It was something my vet has recommended in the past and its quite good although I have managed to find other similar foods now.
You might fnd that you boy doesnt like the royal canin - one of mine came on it and was decided one day that they didnt like it. If you PM me I'll give you info on what I feed mine.
