Alkandt:

For an ear that looks like that, I'd try using Tear Mender (I found it at Farm and Fleet).  Put a coat of the Tear Mender on one side of a popsicle stick, let it dry til it's tacky, then apply another coat.  When it feels sticky, put it towards the outer edge of the inside of the ear.  You want to make sure that the base of the stick aligns with the outer middle edge of the ear (where you find the fold that bends the ear).  Keeping it on the inside of the ear, outer portion.  Make sure the top of the stick is even with the tip of the ear.  That way the entire area is supported.  Tear Mender works pretty well and doesn't really irritate the ear.  Leave it in til it falls out and the ear should be good.  If it looks like it needs another round, then put it up again.

I used ear forms that fit the entire ear and used Tear Mender, but my female has sensitive ears and it made them red.  If the base of your puppy's ear seems solid and the ear is bending at the tip or a little more, it might just need the most basic of support.

Hope it helps!

I usually give it to 6 months. Ear forms with Tear Mender are good.  I like to massage my puppies' ears straight up from base to tip (not up and down or circular). Some people don't believe in it but I swear it has worked with every puppy I've had!

I don't really mean to be preachy or lecturing. But, it doesn't have to be all or nothing.

The theory is that crunching through raw meaty bones, like a chicken drumstick, strenghtens the tendon that goes from the ears to under the jaw bone even while teething.

I switched my pup at 8 weeks to raw ground meat and bones. By eleven weeks he was eating whole pieces of chicken.

Some people feed raw in the AM and then Kibble in the PM.

Just a suggestion.
