All you people need to know what  you are talking about before you start talking.  I am the breeder of Bandit the Dam of this litter, and she is a very black sable, she can produce sable puppies.  Honestly you people need to get a life and find something better to do than find fault in others.  I know what I bred and what they can procuce!  This man has no reason to DNA anything at this point.  If you have any concerns it would start with MY BREEDING!!!!!!

do you have any other pictures of your very black sable female?  In the picture provided, she indeed appears black and not sable..

You need to see the dog for yourself.  Her Sire is a Black Sable  Dam is Black.  Bandit has sabled behind her ears, shoulder blades, and down the back of her front and back legs.  I grant you that she is a sable not a solid black.  I have no current pictures because she doesnt belong to me anymore.  She left here at the age of six months.

Sherrie

At first glance she does appear to be a black but went to website and enlarged picture and it does appear she has brown and especially shows up on the hind legs. I can see it would be very easy to mistake her for a black.

Question.. Are the entire hairs on her black or just he tips?

The problem today is that too many people are deceptive and in this case it appeared to possibly be a deceptive ad but after looking into it looks to be legit to me.

This is just my opinion so no offense meant to anyone.

Thank you , I appreciate your opinion.  She has two colors on the hair, which makes for a sable.  I get really riled up about this stuff because it seems that people think that they know everything there is to know.  I know that their is deception, but why not go the extra mile like you did, to find out before you start bashing people.  That is part of what is wrong with this world.

did I say anything derogatory about the breeder?  no

the bitch appears black from the pictures.  I have seen black dogs have lighter hair on the shoulder and bleed through on the legs, still did not make them sable.  the darkest sable I have ever seen still had markings around eyes like Cyklon which is in the bitches pedigree.

I have no problem admitting when I am wrong, the owner didn't tell me the dog was reg. as sable until after about 4 emails between us.   I would still love to see a picture of her as a puppy.  because it is rare to have a sable that appears solid black.  if she is a sable it is clearly evident on a young pup who hasn't edveloped the adult color.

my young female is solid black, and her sire (Julius Waldkonig sp?)was an extreme black sable, even darker than your male Harley, but he still looks sable from his raccoon eyes.

from pics provided the bitch does look black with possible bleed through on the feet.  but if you say she is sable, then she must be.

here's another "sable".  I have seen several others in the UK showing this color.  I am curious to see if infact they are sables or if this is something else.  I know this dogs owner and hope to know for sure one day what she turns out to be genetically.

many black dogs have brown on the legs.  Sable dogs are brown - no matter how much black COVERAGE they have, they are still brown underneath, their entire body will be brown, with undercoat showing through in various degrees - black sables have less undercoat showing through as they have heavier black coverage.  Even the darkest black sable dogs have "goggles" of brown around the eyes, and brown showing through on the body - not just the legs.  The dam appears black to me.  Yes, I would have to see her in person or a better picture before I'd believe she is the dam to the sable puppy.
