Congrats Mary and Karen!!!!  That's awesome.

Hey, I was just down the street at a horse event judging!  So I know how HOT it was!  Miserable hot.

Got it!! Congratulations to Karen and Mary! It was miserable here in NW- MT. too over the weekend. It is pouring rain now as I type.

Karen has every reason to feel proud of that performance. I am reminded of something T Floyd said--- "Before you stand on the podium, you first have to pass..... Many times I won the competition because I passed... all 3 phases and others didn't "

It kind of puts everything in perspective....

"verhonden,"  what does that actually mean an how does that affect her protection score?

I think that is a sufficient rating?

Im not certain as I am pretty new to all of this myself, I would have to look it up. But for now Im just going to throw in an uneducated guess.

Yes, verhonden means that the @kcourage, hardness and fighting drive" is @kpresent"or sufficient, as opposed to "pronounced". The ratings are abbreviated as "v" for sufficient/present, or "a" for pronounced. It's the difference between C and A grades in grade school. :-)

Ok so I have done some (key word here) research didn't Mary also produced the MOTHER to the dog that got present.  And this dog that got present won??  There were no working dogs or other showlines that were pronounced and outed??

Here I go again huh?? lol

Mystere very supportive but you definately got your point across.  If Mrs. Dygert is "so devilishly gleeful"  I dont' understand it.  I would be kind of embarrassed.  Its great that the dog is HOT, but maybe some more work needs to be done with this dog.  I love to see HOT dogs succeed-but I personally would feel guilty if my dog won in that way.

Maybe I am misunderstanding again-feel free to enlighten me! lol

Carter, I can't really speak for Mary, so you would need to get the definitive answer. :-) Keep in mind that I think show folks and working folks, in some things, might as well be from different planets. :-) But, the reason for Mary's glee is simply the irony: the fact that a show line dog (and a bitch, and one sired by her stud) won a regional championship over working line dogs. The posted results pretty much tell the story. Mary does not train or trial, and hasn't picked up a leash any time in the last century, so she is shameless. :-) So, nah, she aint a bit embarrassed :-)--the show bitch beat the working line dogs. That's all that's got her cackling. It is, I think, rather like the reaction of working folks to the videos of the Sieger Show bitework: confirmation and validation?
