IMO the horse had several things going against him. FIrst three races in five weeks, I believe he was the only one in the field to run in all three TC races. Second withdrawal symptoms from steriods like winstrol include muscle tightness and weakness. From what I was taught that coming off steroids must be done gradually. Thee quarter crack or not being a problem I bet he was on high powered anitbiotics which in itself can make you feel lousy. Fourth it was so hot that day and huge humdity. I believe durning the Masters out east heat index rose to 105? It zaps all creatures. It's a shame the HORSE lost as I was not really thrilled with his trainer. I was rooting for a TC winner though. The horse, no matter this performance, proved to be a super race horse. Every athlete has an off day, BB was yesterday. Hopefully he was recover quickly and sound and go on to either stud other magnificant thoroughbreds or see him run in the Classic against Curlin, another race to test the elite 3 years old and above....

Winstrol is milder and much more purified, not having the serious aggressiveness Equipoise does to a horse. Equipoise makes horses mean, wanting to rip flesh. I know of a few horses ruled off the track due to serious bite injuries, some horse will not let go once they gotcha ya, your a rag being shredded, held and thrown around. I personally wouldn't use Winstrol on a colt or gelding, and I wouldn't use Equipoise on a filly. Winstrol does have great results when given with conjunctions ... just like simple ESE or Premarin and Lasix together, your actually coagulating the blood and at the same time lowering blood pressure.
I don't know how these drugs are when humans take them ... but I know what they do when given to horses. It's all about conjunctions and timing.
I agree, the less said the better off Owners/Trainers are. I can't believe all the BS stories about Big Brown. I respect people's opinions, but the press releases are based on opinions.
Do a simple search on Winstrol and all you see is Belles or BB's name. Not good.
