OT...WOW!!!!! - Page 2

The photos were clearly taken to make the dogs look as large as possible, but Ovcharkas really are gargantuan dogs.  They are obviously trying to show off their size but after meeting several of these dogs in person, I can honestly tell you the males especially can really be that big.

Yes obviously the dogs are huge (and hairy) but they wouldn't look quite as big as they do if they didn't have a small person in a kneeling position behind the dogs in the pictures - as you say, makes them look as large as possible (and larger than they really are)

I remember in particular one male I could probably sit down in front of and his head would tower over mine. Not that I would ever volunteer to try unless I wanted my head taken off.

It's just marketing through photos...like all the red GSDs are put in front of the greenest grass possible to make their red really pop, or stacked on a slight incline.  See it with your own eyes to believe it is my motto.

Here a clip off youtube so maybe the broken record about pic and perspective can be silenced. If you can't get the proper perspective from a video clip with one of these dogs and a person walking... I don't know what else to tell ya.

perhaps the pics have been photoshopped or its perspective lord only knows!! i just did an image search on the biggest tallest and ugliest dogs in the world.

i am just sooo fed up with all the bitching and bickering so i started this.

ovcharkas are humongous dogs and the pic i believe is the world record holder!  

According to the Guniess Book of World Records, the worlds heaviest as well as longest dog ever recorded was an English Mastiff named Zorba. In 1989, Zorba weighed 343 lbs and was 8 feet 3 inches long from nose to tail! That same dog also holds the Guniess record for the Worlds's Largest Dog.
