I only mentioned the hips xrays because so many people get prelims done now.  Our oldest boy was laying down and watching the othe dogs play by the age of 6 months and his x rays showed arthritic changes already.  it wasn't really a lack of energy though.  He was still very alert, but watching and not playing...  Am I making the differnece clear?

As for the blood work, It is just something I have gotten used to doing.  I have to think about tick borne diseases and heartworm and effects of medications, so I might look to the bloodwork faster than other people.

Also, I have never had any experience with a heat cycle and would love to hear from you how this turns out to hear aobut your experience with it, if/when that turns out to be the answer :)

You always need to be aware of the signs of pyometra and a false pregnancy in the weeks following a bitch's being in season/heat. If she goes off her food or begins to vomit or have diarrhea, she needs to see the vet right away. If she starts to act as if she's making a nest and if you notice she has some milk and hair loss around her  nipples, it would be a false pregnancy. I think you can find a lot of information on either of these conditions using a google search.

A number of other conditions can cause exercise intolerance as can hot humid weather. If it continues, I'd have her checked just to be sure. Taking her temp is a very good idea. There are 2 forms of pyometra, one where you will see a vaginal discharge, one where you will not.

TwoMoon, i also feel like maybe due to heat cycle that she finished three weeks ago. she just seems like to rest more when get a chance but looks really active when go out. maybe mood swings like you've mentioned. i'll keep on eye.

Darcy: i can do prelimxray. but she wasn't like not playing and watching. she is active when outside.  just to know what would be cost to do prelimxray that you paid in your area and i think i should take to hospital as my clinic is small and i'vn't seen xrays there.

regarding heartworm she has been treated when she was 6 or7months old.

thanks
