I must agree with the majority of the posts.  I have ordered this companies' products from one of their distributors and was not satisfied with the quality of their products.  The tugs were not "bite suit" material, the nylon harness which uses a plastic buckle snapped off after three uses.  I did not even bother returning the products so I have no idea how they would have handled it.

I personally buy my equipment now from the Hortons.  They have been in business for 20+ years and are not going anywhere anytime soon.  They make some the best leather products and are a pleasure to deal with.

I recommend Jim Hill, Wyndmoor or Hallmark K9 - I still have the same agitation collar and harness I had 10 years ago - still works great and fits all of my dogs from smallest (GSD) to largest.  I get my tugs and balls on ropes and my trainers get their sleeves and covers from Jim as well.  All very good quality and he treats you right.  I get my long-lines from Muffi Waldman - terrific and always measure true for tracking trials.  I have never bought a wall or jump so don't know who to recommend for that except a handy friend :)

Jim Hill must love you Molly.:)  Everything that you said is true. I highly recommend Jim Hill also. I've bought most all my equipment from him for years and recommend him to all who I train or interact with in the sport.

I forgot to mention that I asked Activedog.com twice to charge me for a new wall on my credit card and get it shipped. They were insisting on waiting until they get the original wall back before they would  ship a replacement. I was willing to charge a whole new wall just to get the shipping expedited as I have competitions coming up soon. It befuddles me on how anyone could think that this is a good way to conduct business. Dogs are easy to understand. People are a whole other story.

We buit our jumps and stand for dumbells.

Bought the Gappy metre jump from Jim Hill - weathered the bad storms the last two weeks!

Jim has excellent equipment, quality, and customer service.

We also buy dircet from Bende, when we are back in Europe.

Our club purchase two of their walls, and we have been pleased, very easy to assemble and transport. I have bought some items from them personaly. Not bad, thier double jute covers are very heavy duty, unfornately they don't fit my sleeves, too long. I got two covers for $60 w/ SH. Was able to give them for some to use and they are happy with them

Wow, I ordered their portable schutzhund jump a few years back and it has held up very very well.  Didn't have any probs getting it either.  In fact right now, we are using it at our club.

But, yes, I also highly recommend Jim Hill at Hallmark K9.  Ordered a bunch of stuff and always get it in a timely manner.

Interesting, I was going to order a weighted collar from them. Anyone know a more reliable source for one?

I got taken by them as well.  I ordered a tracking harness for my male showline shepherd.  It asked during the online order for a "size" and I chose large as my boy is on the large side of the breed although had a show "V" rating and KKL1 - so not outside the standard.  The harness that arrived did not come close to fitting him.  They took it back in exchange and "custom made" him a new one.  They refused to comp me the shipping back to them and made me pay the shipping on the new harness as well - and that doesn't consider shipping to me for the WAY too small first harness.  I told them I thought that was lousy and they stated it was "your fault, you did not send us your dogs measurements."  First, there was NOTHING on the order page that asked for them.  Second, when I brought  this up they said "well, if you'd checked out our WHOLE webpage you'd have come across the instructions and our recommendation to do so."  They gave me the link that was in NO related to the ordering page and was tucked away on an obscure portion of their site.

I'll likely never do business with them again.  The stuff is essentially home made in someone's basement.  They have a couple "unique" products - but for the cost and the obvious "home made" quality you receive, they are grossly overpriced.  The only think I got from them that was worth a darn was their firehose tugs - they are VERY tough.  On the other hand, while some of their other items are imaginative, they are not worth the price when considering the "craft" nature of them.  For example, I believe I paid somewhere between 20-30 dollars for a "tracking flag" caddy.  It turned to be common PVC pipe & fittings, with a piece of blaze orange canvas hot glued around it.  The glue job looks like a kindergartner did it.  We're talking about $2 max in material and *MAYBE* 25 minutes worth of work and that is being VERY generous.  It is a neat idea, but one they frankly could have published online FOR FREE as a freebie - not something to sell for $20+ dollars,

Buyer beware.  Also, I second Jim Hill.  Good stuff, very fast shipping as well.
