I'm glad that some of you realize the worlds different and no one is devine. I'm kinda tired of looking at these post as well.

The dog slurping up turds is more offensive to me than the dog feet in BBQ sauce.

Or is the dog barfing from a night out on the town.

I'm gonna have a coffee and NO !!  breakfast thank you very much!!

Here in the US and in every country in the free world dog breeders know very well which countries consider dogs to be food and use their pelts to adorn clothing intended for  export. Still these breeders continue to sell them dogs and puppies increasing the dog population and justifying their actions by saying - it's a different culture - an expensive dog will never end up on the dining table. I hope they are right and that one of the dogs they exported for big bucks didn't become part of that dish of dog feet after they reached the end of their breeding life or that none of their progeny are there either, or on a dog farm, or sewed around the hood of some American's parka.

I dont think you have to worry about that happening Blitzen.

Yikes, Louise.  Where did you find this picture?  I must say....you're not boring.  Political correctness, or not....I'm responding.  Sorry, Two Moons....you'll just have to suck it up and realize any attempt at moderating is BS and downright annoying.  BTW, Louise---Was going to ask the other day, but slipped my mind.....Did you catch Preston's thread on cloning?  When I read his comment about 'Yasko' being the prime example of a noteworthy candidate, your back-post questioning and inquiring of whether or not he had been sold to Korea came to mind.  Of course, my imagination skyrocketed.  That was just a rumor.......yes? (LOL)

Now.....back to topic with no LOL's.  I'd have absolutely no problem with viewing the dog paws substituted with the man's head.  What's one head, more or less?  In some cultures, beheading seems to be an acceptable cultural practice. Any who find my substitution plan a bit barbaric and want to criticize,  I'll remind them to skim over some of the above posts. According to some of these 'live and let live' (pardon the pun) posters, all cultural differences should be respected. Then again....maybe that comment was a bit dramatic......so I'll just jot down my initial reaction to the photo.  F//k.....those poor dogs.

I have to agree with Watson and others.  We hold the dog sacred while others have the cow.  Open a sunday newspaper and there are ads all over the place with beef on it.

by Blitzen on 19 February 2008 - 16:02

Somehow a mental picture of a man's head on that platter instead of those dogs' feet doesn't bother me at all either, LMH.

by Blitzen on 19 February 2008 - 16:02

And what is your opinion on selling dogs to the countries that eat them, Don?

I wouldn't do it but if I did:

First I would have to find out what breed tastes the best.  My luck, the GSD is too salty or dry.

I just think that you have to realize that cultures are very different.  I didn't even want to look at this thread.  I hate going to ethnic restaurants because you hear the horror stories.

No moderation attempted, I only said it gets old.  If you dont know these things happen in the world maybe thats good.  Hell people eat horse's too.  I love horse's and pretty much all animals.  Even the ones I eat.

Cultural difference's dont have to be respected just understood.     Would you go to war over them?   Hell we already did, I forgot.

A mans head is a bit much dont you think?

Human lives are being taken everyday in place's like Darfur.  I cant stop it.  Do you think we should post pictures of that here on the GSD forum?   I dont.

There are many ugly things in this world.

Yeah I live and let live to a point.  I can also live and let die.  Its not an un-natural thing to do. Niether is killing.

F//k.....those poor people.

I'm glad we can discuss things like this without moderation or censorship.
