I personally feed Flint River Ranch and my dogs do very well on it, it is all natural with human grade ingredients plus you get free UPS shipping to your door, that is a big plus where I live as most good brands are sold in feed stores 30 miles or so away and with gas the way it is that really adds up! Here is a link that tells all info on the food... www.frrco.com/121606

Innova EVO is my food of choice.
Excellent quality ingredients, and NO GRAINS. You'll never see a canine in the wild grazing in a rice paddy, or munching on oats, barley, or any other such grain.
It's expensive for kibble, but I feed much less and my dogs have always been healthy, robust, good coats, no allergies.
Any high quality, grain-free kibble should give you good results.

I agree with SchHBabe. We have switched to Solid Gold Barking at the Moon with fantastic results. It is a grain free diet similar to Evo. Our dogs coats have never looked better. Our older female used to have anal gland problems and had to go to the vet monthly, now the problem is completely gone. We also have a malinois that has always been impossible to put/keep weight on and had never had a solid stool in her life, now she is at a great weight and maintaining and her stools are perfect, plus the poop alot less. I can't say anything bad about it. I would deffinitley go with any grain free kibble, I know Solid Gold, Innova, Wellness, Timberwolf, Natures Variety and I am sure other brands all have grain free formulas. We also add a few tablespoons of Honest Kitchen dehydrated raw which the dogs seem to love.

Cancer is just a terrible desease both of my parents died from cancer and my son had leukemia but lived thru it thanks to Dana Farber. Then to have my last 2 GSD's die from cancer really was the straw that broke the camels back
My Gunner will be 1 year old the 11th of this month. The first 6 months he was fed Urban Wolf and raw meat. Which is pretty much a raw diet. Then I switched to Orijen and raw. I have just started to give him raw chicken he loves it.
I am thinking of going back to Uban Wolf and raw or just totally raw. This is a very big step for me but I know it's right. Believe me I have researched his diet to no end and I constantly worry about it and pray I'm dong the right thing for him.
This last week I went to a Wolf sanctuary Wolf Hollow in Ipswich Mass. They fed their Wolves road kill deer and sides of raw beef thats was it. They said they wanted to replicate the Wolves diet as much as possible to what they would be getting in the wild.
Our dog's are decendants of the Wolf they also ate raw meat in the wild so why are we feeding our dog's mostly grain based dog food? Simple answer the pet food industry tells us processed dog food is better for our dogs. Yea right the pet food industry is a 15 billion dollar industry they are more worried about profit than what is good for our dog's
