I think this is the "Calssical" type of ad that GSD would refer to. LOL

It's a free market economy. Caveat emptor

And worse, it's the Internet, it's not reality. We've all been advertised to to death since we were infants, so no one really accepts any ad literally except the extremely naive. One of the best ads, that I've seen in the last few months said, "Decent puppies." I don't normally peruse the ads since I'm not in the market but I sure clicked on this ad. I thought, "finally some honest people."

When I clicked on the ad, the puppies were from two SchH3, KKL1 parents from lines that are noted for working ability. I also laugh at ads that say, "Extreme Drives", "Extremely Hard", which sound like ads for teenagers on Spring Break in Daytona Beach who don't know the meaning of "too much of a good thing is not good." I'd like to see ads that say, "Balanced Dogs", "Dogs with Common Sense.", "Nice Puppies that may become great dogs with good owners."

When I "window shop" the classifieds I chuckle when I see the ads GSDFAN is speaking of.  I usually think to myself..."where's the "outstanding" dogs here???" LOL  Putting even the titles aside I look to see who the parents, grandparents are.  Are they well known dogs, well known producers of all the qualities we GSD folks place on our wish lists when looking for a dog?

I prefer the old czech lines and IMO for what I particularly like I know what "outstanding" to me would be.  But hey, some breeders need a good sales pitch to at least get you to look at their ad so it's up to the consumer to know what you want, know what you're looking for and then make your own determination if it's "outstanding" or if it's just an overpriced piece of junk.
