I'm pretty sure I can make it the second weekend. I'm thinking its going to be difficult to get parts for the old van, especially if I trashed the transfer case. Not sure I can afford to rent a cargo van for a few days. Depends on the estimate for repairing the van. The last transfer case I trashed (this has happened three times now) cost me $1200. for that one part alone + new axle, CV joint & boot.. That's probably why they stopped making Aerostars. I'd love a new vehicle, but can't manage that just yet., pouring money into the new kennel building. Ole Red is going to have to last a little longer.
The good news is that I now have AAA RV which will tow van AND trailer 100 miles at no charge. Still, what a pain that would be with a trailer full of dogs!

Shelly it's about 168 miles from Allentown to Point of Rocks, MD close to where the training is. Looks like you'll need to pack up and load the trailer and have AAA tow you to Harrisburg. PA. Give AAA in Harrisburg a call about halfway there and have them meet you as you arrive in Harrisburg. From there it's less than 100 miles to training so you'll be OK with just one layover.
Once they know the route, you can probably save them some money and leave the van at home. Just ask them to come tow the trailer. (The tow companies should be happy since it's less gas) You'll have someone to talk to along the way too.

You crack me up Randy. Maybe I'll just rent a cargo van. I didn't realize it was that far. Forget me being there for 7 am tracking, but once in awhile maybe I can stay the night and do obedience with company/distraction.
AAA allows 7 free tows a year. I'm using the first one to get the van to the shop. Two years ago I had used all 7 up by September... I guess I know where the proceeds from any dogs I sell and/or train this summer will go... :(
Maybe I can get one of the new people who have been coming here for tracking to ride along. It would be nice to have someone to talk to on a long drive for a change.

I can not tell you how much that appeals to me, as a new comer to the sport I had a pretty bad experience with a club and if you guys where closer to me I would be there in a heart beat!.
