any opinions on dogs from this site? - Page 2

I agree with all of  you, but are they really any worse than some of the big names in the US who keep so many dogs they never see most of them or those who sell longcoats as breeding stock and so forth. Stupid is as stupid does.

regarding pendragon, stay away.

They aren't too far from me.  I've had people come to me after seeing him.  I routinely hear that he basically won't let them leave.  They could be there for hours.  I know of other people who were unfortunate to buy that have had to put their dog down within a year due to genetic issues.  This guy will hound you if you ever make the mistake of calling.    He used to charge 2000 and up for a pup.  I know one person who was training his dogs that he gave a pup to, there were supposed issues with paperwork and the trainer not being paid for service rendered.

Oh forgot to mention, you won't find too many ofa's done.  Looks like 2 out of the 4 stud males are finally done.  Don't see any females done.  You also won't find all the females he has on his webpage either.  He has more dogs that what is listed.  There are always ads in the newspaper for him.

He used to use business cards as previous customers/testimonials.  I actually informed a friend of mine that his name was on his site, since I knew for a fact my friend didn't have a clue as to who this guy was.

So buyer beware and do your research.  At least look at the ofa site!

I talked to this lady about 10 years ago.  I had to ask all of the questions you have asked.  She wanted around $10,000 for one of her dogs .  I can't imagine what they are today.   

I guess you can have 150 lb, no drive dogs that don't require training.  Hell you're gonna need an e-collar to get them off the couch.

Yeah PDA is even closer to me. It amazes me how many folks I run into that have a bad rap regarding him or are proud that they paid 3 to 7k for one of his genetic master pieces,LOL! One elderly lady was takin for 30k for a pup!!!!!!!!!!

ehrenwald, pendragon is just and hour from me. I called him once and he went on an on about his 130 lb shepherds winning in german shows and sch. he is all BS. but he gets 3000 a puppy. sometimes BS is profitable.

ehrenwald gets the prize, lol.  I'm about 10-15 but you're in his backyard.  I feel for these people.  Now if I know that someone is just started researching gsd's and I don't have anything, I tell them specifically to avoid that kennel.  Didn't even know you were over there!!  At least I know of a showbreeder to send people to instead of the wanna be kennel over there.
