Nupro for me sucked.  No improvement for what I was looking for.  The people at the company don't seem to know anything and sound like they're reading from a page.  I got some glucosamine from my vet and it seems to be helping. They talk a lot of crap about other supplements too and that makes me wonder .

Look at Next-Level if you are looking for Glucosomine and chondrotin, etc. Load dosage of 5000 mg daily for one week then cut back to 2500 mg daily.

If you google "garlic toxic to dogs" quite a bit appears. This site labeled "Garlic can be Deadly" says it as well as any other: http://www.petsbynature.com/garlic.htm  (sorry, don't know how to make it into a link on here...) It says that while there's many who have fed garlic to their pets for many years with no ill effects, they've since found it can cause Heinz body anemia when given in toxic doses. It also says that since no-one knows what that toxic dose s, it should not be fed to dogs (like grapes/raisins). The risk doesn't outweigh the benefits in my book. It also states effects can include: they include vomiting, diarrhea, anemia, tachycardia [irregular heart beat] weakness, liver damage, allergic reactions, asthmatic attacks, contact dermatitis, and gastrointestinal damage.

Like I said though, more can be found googling "garlic toxic to dogs"
