Why do breeders try to breed 48 hours after the first tie? Why not 24 hrs?

Because it gives time for the male to rest and build up his sperm count again! You don't want to just let them breed every day , mulitple times a day that she is standing.....I have known of males left to breed when ever they want and run out of sperm and no puppies were made!
