Three things that I like doing that is easy on me and good for the dogs. The springer dog jogger. My female pulls me so hard I have to use my brakes periodically and tell her to"slow down" but great excersize for her and a nice relaxing ride for me. The only excersize I get is my left hand on the break.
Hitting off a batting tee. I use a female type softball ( slightly smaller then mens). I cannot throw a ball with out hurting my shoulder, but I love to hit off the tee. I get good batting practice and they get great excersize. I wish I would have known about this when I was a kid. The hardest thing is getting the dog to sit until I hit the ball, as they want to take off as soon as I start my swing, so I make the dog sit about 10 feet in back and off to the side just to be safe.
Using the plasic slings (don't know what they are called) to toss squeeky balls into the lake. I can chuck them a long way with the wip like sling and the dogs love to swim after them. Another great excersize for them and relaxing for me. I only do one dog at a time for all of the above.
