It appears you already bred them, I thought you needed more info BEFORE breeding.

Did you already have a litter from them Spernagsds? If so, why the questions and advice required now. I cant give anything to this board, but was impressed to see your first postings, but am not impressed if you have already done the mating, and now are asking the questions. Hopefully you havent. Regards
Mo - Mascani.

Spernagsds...I am interested in what "Cimmerian Shepherds" said to you...most breeders are more then willing to discuss their progeny and usually whatever they can do...they try and help...

Generally speaking, any dog you get shoved on you for free for a bogus reason, doesnt need to be bred, especially not with a male that "I bought a dog on a whim because he looked hideous for $100.00.". You got her with no planning involved for free, you got him on a whim for $100 because he was ugly, now you are breeding them together? Not a great start to a breeding program!
You say -
"Both are over two and have been certified for Hips (OFA), Eyes (CERF), and Elbows (OFEL), as well as Microchipped AND (sigh) Congenital Cardiac tested and cleared."
According to your ad -
"Both parents have OFA Certifications and are pending OFEL and CERF certifications as well hoping to complete their Congenital Cardiac Certifications in January."
You say -
"I have thought about breeding the pair. I need to know more about them first though."
Yet your ad started taking litter reservations over a week before this post. Your old ad from August says 6 pups available for $650. So you are not just considering breeding the pair, you already have bred them and given the dates, are planning to breed the female back to back for another litter you are now taking deposits on.
Might want to get your story straight before posting next time?

Nope, you are mistaken. This pair indeed had been bred in the past just before the female turned 2. This breeding was deffinately not a planned breeding and actually a let down because I do not believe in breeding before certifications and training. These pups were sold as pets to pet homes with limited registrations. The pair that you are talking about Born on the 7th of August are out of the Czech/West German Pair. NOT this pair. I do not breed for profit... We breed one pair once a year and that is it. I do not make money doing this.. More money goes out to the care of the mother and her pups during the pregnancy and after the birth till they are placed. We also do not usually have to run ads, pups are sold per word of mouth. This particular dog is due to come in to heat in January, I would like to breed these two. It was highly recomended by a friend trainer in Ga because of the lines.... thats great but I need to know more for ME. It is great that everyone else knows these lines and what they are used and bred for but I like to know what I have and if it's going to work out. As far as OFA and OFEL they are back and the heart test is pending I should know in January the results.
Badger more.. It's lot's of fun. Newbies to this place always get chewed up first right??

Q MAN:
When I spoke to Chip Weiss, who is really a nice person... He simply ststed that he bred the dog and gave the pup to this woman with the understanding that they would co-own her. I'm not sure how things transpired after that but I ended up with her, Papers in hand with the understanding that someday this woman who will remain nameless will have the option of a puppy. He was reluctant to discuss anything further and to my knowlege has went bankrupt and moved out of state. He bred and imported many fine dogs and the list is endless of satisfied buyers although maybe I caught him on a bad day? She is a great dog and has extreme drive and great temperament. I want to know more about the workability of these particular dogs and what they are best at.
The Male is by no means ugly and what I meant by hideous and feeling bad for him was that his potential was there but wasn't being encouraged or brought out... I cant think of the correct wording. I know the people whom he came from. He was a diamond in the rough... Today however he is everything I thought he would be... Great lines as I understand too... I would like to know more about his mother and father though. Where are they? What are they doing? How is their temperament? Ect... I believe some people are to quick to be judgemental...
As for the ad for their pups... It is simply to gather interest and build a possible list of prospective buyers....
I've bred Shepherds for 13 Years.
Thanks

The reason I was asking about the previous litter was because having a litter on the ground gives you an idea about what these two produce as far as drives, conformation, etc.. Also, are your dogs titled yet or are you working on titles? Personally, I wouldn't consider breeding them until they were titled and breed surveyed. By then, you would also have a much better idea about what they produce because the pups from the first litter would be more mature.

Ok.. Now that I think I have this computer figured out...
This pair was bred accidently by a friend that was caring for my dogs (and I only have 4) while I was out of town.... She felt terrible I was highly disappointed but accidents happen.
The female was not OFA'd or certified for anything yet and neither was the male. They were both a few months lacking two. I registered the litter with AKC marked the registrations limited and sold them to carefully screened pet homes.
I have kept up with a few of these new owners and they are well pleased with them. They all have extremely high drives (prey and play)always "on" and ready to go. The one male is now a member of the Saints Search Team, East Point, MI. They are a Private Investigator Firm. One is going to be doing agility. The one I have kept Amaya is insane for the ball.... Her calling is Search and Rescue. She calms down nice and has her CGC. I believe I have her listed on this database. (NOBLES AMAYA Z POHRANICNI STRAZE)
Mace is working toward his Tracking Title and we are contimplating Search and Rescue. Freiya is so lovey that we have done her CGC and are Leaning toward Therapy Work With St. John's Hospital along with U of M Children's Cancer Center.
Both were evaluated for personal protection by Sun Dogs, Romeo Michigan However we obtained them at an age where they were already what I call ruined for this particular sort of work. Neither one wanted any part of growling or biting for any reason.
Thanks for being kind and not leaving me for dead... LOL
