KYLE

by KYLE on 18 December 2007 - 03:12

This question comes up every few months. What's interesting is that most of us have not had the opportunity to see our choices in person. I'd love to see the dogs mentioned during training sessions as opposed to trial video. The gene pool also gets quite narrow if we only breed to what is popular or podium dogs. You also have to concider how many top handlers are in the top 10 spots every year and often with different dogs. So what I'm saying is that there are more intangibles that need to be considered. My choices in no particuilar order; Males Females Aly Vordinsteinwald Exe vom Schmiedegarten Lasco WestfalenB Palma van't Guys Hof Falk v.d. Wolfen Esthera Tiekerhook Fado vom Karthago (past 10) Haska vom Karthago Kyle

Please help with spelling because some of the dogs I cannot find by the given spelling and remember within the last 10 years. ie.. while Greif zum Lahntal was a good producer. He is dead now. I can't find Aly Vordinsteinwald with this spelling.

I meant to add to this thread and mistakenly ended up starting a new thread. (Can you tell I've not posted before?) A very good female although quite a few years ago now was Deika von den Wannaer Höhen http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/11289.html Now if I can figure out how to delete threads.....is there a way?

"You also have to consider how many top handlers are in the top 10 spots every year and often with different dogs. So what I'm saying is that there are more intangibles that need to be considered." I hear that one Kyle. I'm just researching bloodlines right now and am basically trying to follow the lines up and down and find the common denominator's. Just learning about GSD Genetics and it's quite complicated to be sure. Been looking at some of Dr Malcolm B Willis' work and attempting to understand more. I have finally located a copy of "The German Shepherd Dog: A Genetic History" (hard to find at a reasonable price) and I am expecting it shortly.

Aly vom Vordersteinwald is most likely dead now and I think Troll and Fero are quite long gone. Remember last ten years.

I had dots between my names in the posting with Karthago and it lumped them altogether also...so it wasnt just you...I was shocked when I saw how it posted....I didnt write it that way.... Grief may be dead but Busecker Schloss and everything we have in our lines today go back to him , so instead of naming the current someone just went back to him...Sagus Busecker Schloss , Half , Also Haus Sevens .one was Xando von Karthago to Kora v Haus Sevens Also Zidane v Haus Sevens Xamm vom Sennertal a Nero v Sennertal son and a grandson of Iko v.d. Lindenhalle...whose Koer report suggests breeding to improve German Shepherd dog character.... Xamm is very tough and serious dog with very high protection drive..... Carlos Rojas bred to him twice....
