It amazes me that someone can buy a BYB Pug and a BYB Beagle for maybe $200 each and then make puppies and sell them for $900! I personally like the combo of a bull dog and shih tzu my self, the name for that designer breed is how I feel about all of them ;)

St Funkman, I know what you mean about trying to "educate" people on buying a puppy or dog. The vast majority of people looking for a canine companion will not heed your advice. They are caught up on the whole "puppy" thing and a lot of them are thinking with their pocketbooks whereas the others are into the latest trendy mutt. I've tried to explain to people I've heard talk about breeding "Jo-Jo" with their neighbor's dog to make a quick buck that they need to be responsible, make sure you're breeding the best of that breed with like, look for correct confirmation and good temperament above all, etc, etc. It all falls on deaf ears. They look at me like I've grown two heads. And, these same people are the type that don't even make sure their dogs are on heartworm preventative, etc. I was explaining the new laws in Virginia regarding having to have them tested for heartworm after a certain number of prescriptions are filled and they replied that their dogs have been wormed. They of course, were talking about the routine wormings and not heartworm! Eghad....and these same people want to pump out more puppies.

If you bred a schnauser with a poodle, then crossed that with a Schitz tsu, would that be a schniztle with noodles? jh

mike, i guess i don't quite *get* why you're choking considering what you've done in the past. basically the same thing. breed dogs for $$, and the hell with the rest of it. so suck it up--you'll be just fine when the checks come in. but please, drop the "holier than thou" nonsense; it makes those of us that *know* you want to *choke*.

bull dog/shih tzu??? Why why why?????? only $2000 for a chih though. :)
