Luckily, I trained the dog to poop either along the fence line or the woods line, that way I won't step in it before I can clean it up and it's much easier to find in the leaves!
As for sleeping on the bed, he'll jump up only on the weekends if I sleep in past 7:00 a.m. (which is hardly ever). Otherwise, he patrols the house throughout the night and sleeps in the hallway where he can see most points of entry (just in case someone would be stupid enough to try and get in!) He's such a good boy!

If you want to live dangerously, try picking
up poop just as the sun is setting, with leaves
on the ground, you can bet you'll be extra quick
about the job at hand!!!!
Poop-there it is--poop-poop--poop-poop-there it is!!!
Most of my dogs sleep in a doorway, it's pretty cool,
like they are waiting for company at the door.
They also like the bottom of the stairs,
they know where are paths are traveled.
Also, someone is always outside, on patrol all night,
unless it too cold, (come on, I'm not that mean)....

Nancy, Who is farting at the wrong time, the furry hubby or the dogs......and when would be the right fating time?
Now that you mention it.......................Well it is NEVER right at 3am when it comes up the sheets and wakes you up. ...............we don't really get too many dog farts

My mom's allergic and moody so no dogs inside past the garage (for now). But does your dog ever fart in the bed with you? And if they eat something bad and vomit, why do they try to eat it again?

Big Baby Dog starts on the bed then moves to the floor, he and the cat try to see who can get closer and keep the other away.
Poop and leaves..... don't wear your good shoes and walk very very slowly while looking very very closely. :) And don't forget to wear your glasses.......

OR wear your spikey heels then you won't have to lean over to pick it up.

We had 2 little dogs on the bed but when we got the GSD it was time for Crates at bedtime. I miss them being there. Farts at night were not an issue. Barking at 2:30 that is a shock. I don't miss that at all. What I "love" is now that its winter it is dark when I get home Poop in the dark in the leaves with a flashlight now that is fun. I need to set up spot lights on the garage so I can see a little better. But that is way down the list of projects. Maybe glow in the dark poop now that would be great what can I feed them for that?

One of the upsides of living in the desert is poop scoopin'. You just leave it there for a couple days and it dries back up into kibble. Then you take the scooper, grab it, and clang that crusty puppy in a trash can. Only time it doesn't work is during monsoon season.

Why do the boys decide that they HAVE to display as much of their "manparts" as possible and, to make matters more interesting, lick them in front of complete strangers (who are usually non-dog people).
Of the 4 dogs - one girl stays on the bed all night, the boys rotate on and off and my old lady just can't make the bed, so she sleeps on her expensive orthopedic bed...maybe I should sleep on her bed and just let them all have our king bed...maybe that's what they're aiming for...hmmmmm
We have "doody patrol" - I walk around the yard, with them follwing. Almost all of them wait until I have put the scooper away to take another dump...hate the job but if I don't do it, the poop fairy never seems to get to my house and my husband doesn't know what a scooper is...:-(
