MygsdRebel, there are people that are going to say good things and bad things.

The most important thing is that you are happy and satisfied with your selection, because in the long run you are the one that has to live with it and feed it.

As far as i'm concerned there is not a bloodline out there that does not have good one's and bad one's.The bottomline is which one has what you are looking for?

How long is the waiting list? I am thinking about  Branko pup if he breeds to a great female.

Saw one of his dogs at NorthE regionals. HKooswas sitting right there and saw what I did. Not impressed at all.

Does anyone think a tiekerhook would be too handler aggressive for me? I asked my club, and one member said they can be rather aggressive when it comes to that. I should think raising it from a puppy would somewhat decrease the chance of her ever turning on me. Would it still be a good idea? I don't want to have to sell her if she ever ends up being too hard for me. I'm 15 and probably only 100 lbs. My male listens to me, but he isnt a tiekerhook.

sorry, but it doesnt sound like you need a gsd at this point period.  your club members sound inexperienced too.

I have a gsd, and I won't actually be making a purchase until next year. My club may be somewhat young in the sport, but they're quite experienced.

No Tiekerhook for you at your age     sorry    this is not a bloodline for your age group    unless your dad or mom is a schutzhund or a german shepherd trainer.........no way.......

I thought you were an adult.....sorry     no offense intended.......If your dad was   T   or   Ivan or Wallace   or Shelley , or Martin or or Eric,    then   I dont feel you have time or the strength for this.....its not just take to the club and train...its a full time charge with a Tiekerhook dog........proper puppy bonding...proper imprinting and the older they get...the more you have to learn about them.......and when they start at 9 -12 weeks on a holy terror streak   at home   are you gonna have the time to deal with it......cant just kennel a Tiekerhood pup.......

This is my opinion , lets see what the others here say......I didnt know your age.......till now

End of day every Dog weather it "working lines or show etc) needs dominance.. you keep ontop of your dog and show them your the alpha then why can't  people own a strong willed working dog?  If you slip yes I agree things can get out of hand. Working your dog every  day or  even a few minutes and keeping on top of them will keep them in line. It's not just the Tiekerhook dogs its any GSD that you own. Wish you best of luck if it's what you want.

Would kennels breeding the Tiekerhook dog   sell    a     15 year old one of their pups anyway?

tigers201uk, my thoughts exactly. I'm not much of a compulsion trainer, but when it comes to it my dog knows that i'm alpha around here, and I have no problem enforcing that on a dog, even if it is a struggle. I even asked Koos. He may just be trying to sell a dog, but he said it would be ok in the long run if the dog had a strong base to work upon. His 15 year old daughter worked one of his dogs, but she had him to help, i'm sure. I must just be trying to fight against the fact that I shouldn't have a tiekerhook, but I know what I want. I'm stronger than most people would think when it comes down to it. haha. Sorry for the vent/rant. As for kenneling, they'll probably only be locked up or in the garage while i'm at school or asleep if they really are a terror. I can take a break from my social life for a time to bond and build up on the pup's bonding process. No problem. Thanks.

-Emily.
