I was thinking about you the whole time GARD. Glad you popped in.

I am in possession of the pup. She's coming up on 10 weeks old. I would be looking to donate her. She does not have papers, but even if she did, I would rather place her in the right environment the recoup any costs.
I would love to have her trained and handle her myself, but I don't think I'm going to win that battle with my hubby. He has his legitimate reasons for being against keeping her, but I still plead my case for her daily.
Thanks to all who have responded.

CvK...What are your husband's reasons for not letting you keep her...?...Maybe someone can help solve the problem...If you like her that much...I mean there are always ways of getting around things...And you said she's "10 weeks old"...is that right?...

His primary reason is "not enough room." We could fence more of our yard, but that involves going through the city for approval, etc. Also, we have our property up for sale and hope to be moving come early summer. I think that uncertainty plays into things too, even though we will move to a larger property.
Yes, she's ten weeks old today.

Yep, he will come up with more of a reason later. I have 3 GSDs, two are working lines, and a quarter acre lot. They are pretty high energy. But I still manage to keep them excercised and that is with a lot of ball play. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY want to move to a place and have about 20 acres!

You may even consider a SAR home. Get on the internet and type in search and rescue in your state. You shouldbe able to come up with some teams. You could alsocheck with you county OEM (office od emergency management) they will most likely have a listing of sar groups. A pup is a crap shoot but i am sure you will find a sar person looking. If you have further difficulty, contact me..I might be able to help you if nothing else falls into place
good luck
