Have tried bio-spot and was not impressed. However a friend uses it and says she has had good results. I found fleas on my short-coated dogs after treating with bio-spot, and had ticks on all of the dogs that year, plus it's not waterproof and I swim my dogs in-season almost daily (could be why it didn't work well on my dogs, though the short-coated dog didn't swim) - and it left big grease spots on them that didn't go away - at all. Yuk. I'm back to Frontline and have always been pleased with it, except for the price.

My vet said that frontline only kills fleas. Is this true? I use a prevent-tick collar.

frontline takes care of fleas for 3 months and ticks for one month - though I only put it on my dogs every 3 months and no ticks. It works great for fleas and ticks, and is waterproof too.

I figured that much. My male was on frontline once a month and he only had one or two odd ticks every now and then. I was told that it takes a while to build up in the system. Another popular treatmenthere is the paramite flea and tick dip.

We tried bio-spot a few years back, was not impressed..... We use Frontline Plus as a topical for fleas and ticks and sentinal wormer which also kills flea larva. Dog.com has good prices.
