Yes it does have corn,I picked this one cause its been around for years and alot of GSD's have used this formula. It is a Lamb based food which i really did not want since its not as digestible as chicken but I'll give it a try on my 1 boy.

Corn & Wheat are horrible for dogs. Stay away from anything that has corn GLUTEN or wheat GLUTEN escpecially. These are simply fillers and have no real nutritional value for the dog.

LEWLY ,1 of my schutzhund mentors dogs has it and he has tried everything you could imagine and the poor dog still has diaria. He recently had to put the dog on a Vet food and along with the medications it helps.I know its the Hills company but i dont know the formula.I remember him saying it has to be a LOW fat food.

Thanks domenic. She is such a sweet girl, she only weighed 40lbs when I resued her,her nose had been burned and she had worms. I have had her for 1 year and she really looks good now and is up to 60lbs. Such a good nature and great with my grandchild.. I have finally gotten her house trained but she still has an occasional accident when the diarhea sets in

Looking back at over 10 years of experience with Eagle now and numerous tests with all sort of new/different foods, so far have not found anything else that consistently works as well and is so affordable.
As to the corn issue, if used properly it is a good ingredient. Some info on the corn used in Eagle: http://www.eaglepack.com/Pages/SP_Grains.html#Corn
The dogfoodanalysis site is the brainchild of supposedly one person who also controls its contents, offers very one sided reviews which are not quite uptodate and current with newest science and experiences, making that site is very biased. No outside comments are permitted, meaning nothing can be added to the opinions of that one reviewer. The site owner basically promotes/supports the grain free dog food idea. That does not make these kinds of foods superior, just because someone says so. The verdict is still out. But - if these foods were indeed so superior they would have / should have gained a much larger market share by now, as price is on par with some of the high end premium foods. People buy what works and proves itself to be good. That said I sometimes grab a trialbag from Orijen as healthy treats and they make great tracking bait (very strong aroma).

Daniella, thank you for the response as i do realize that its hard to keep up especially when im not one of your clients.I will always keep you in mind should someone need the services you can provide. The reason I chose this particular Natural Formula is because its been around for so long and one would think that its already proven given the time its been out there.I know Lamb is not as digestible as say the chicken, but I guess i can always go to chicken if i have to.Do you have any personal experiance with this particular formula?Do you think i should of gone with the Large Breed? Thanks D.H,Hopefully you will re-read this thread.I dont want to PM you since you are probably busy AND the fact that im not your client. Thanks again

Domenic-
I have been feeding my 18m male this particular formula since i got him (recommended by the breeder). I also switched my 10yr old female to it. I am very happy with the food; my boy's coat is beautiful, his weight is right where it should be, and he really seems to like it. My female actually seems, believe it or not, to feel better. We have noticed a big change in her attitude wise, and can only attribute it to eating better quality food (she used to eat Pedigree....i didn't know any better ) . This formula is kinda hard to find in the stores, and i was actually getting it on-line at a pretty decent price. I am now switching to the Holistic formula, but only because it is available locally. Hope this helps....
