thanks for your input yellowrose, she lives inside, i havnt got a kennel for her, i get the picture tho. what do you mean high prey??. is it something to do with tracking/herding?.

It means your dog likes to be doing something with all four feet and his mouth all the time it means anything that moves , he is gonna chase it ,,,like ball prey is the ball..it excites him and he has to go get it.....high prey means when the branches on a tree move , he runs to it and its his...like a deer running and hes gonna go get it no matter what you do or say..
She sees her tail as a moving object and has to chase it...she is bored she wants to be doing a chase....put some tugs on the end of a 4 foot ski rope ...tie tight and use them for her to chase .....let her chase it and let her win.....
Put two holes in a tennis ball with a drill bit......run a small rope thu it ....knot it and knot it on the other end as close to the ball as physically possible, leaving you about 6 or 7 feet of string or thin rope left....let her chase it , run and let her follow ,,,tease her with it , throw it out and just as she gets to it...yank it away several times.....then let her win,,,,but dont play tug with it.......get her to give it back after a few seconds of retrieving it .......she is needing to be chewing on a hoof or a nyla bone,,,no raw hide.......get a knuckle bone or a raw round steak bone from the buthcher.,.,get a bunch of them and put in freezer....
If you dont have a crate or wire kennel you need to get one asap....training an energetic pup requires confinement for yur sanity and hers....

ekamb1,Hi,The tail thing is boredom. She is going to do that if she does'nt have another outlet for her energy.I have an unusually high drive SHOWLINE,YES a showline with off the wall drive and balanced drives. He does this when he has alot of pent up energy OR we dont do any kind of training. If you can, discourage it by a pop on the leash with a firm NO.If you dont have experience with corrections then it is better to have someone show you what a little pop is so that you dont shut the dog down by overcorrecting her.Hope this gives you a little less to worry about.Good luck with your pup.
