BTW, I think those hips look good to me as well.

mirasmom,
Those look good to me.
So, that really does work to hold them up to the window?
I never did try as it has been so cloudy around here lately. (I still have the xray). I haven't taken it back to the vet's yet 'cause I still want to try.
Now that I've seen that yours took, I'm gonna try mine - well, first chance I get. I never seem to be home in the daylight hours!
I hate the waiting.

I agree with everyone else, she will get a number, my best guess is a good rating. Congratulations!!

I don't bother to take x-ray photos against a window with a digital camera. One less step: I simply put the xay on a flatbed scanner with the lid open--and plenty of ambient light streaming through my office window.
Works for me in this extra (due to less than optimal positioning) film not submitted to the OFA:
And this:

Louise,
I tried that and apparently, I didn't have enough light in the office. (It's sort of dim on my side!)lol
It was just almost completely black.
I may try again though...

Nope, didn't work. ugh...
Tried the big copier upstairs (open) for more light just to see what would copy...zilch!
Then, got a "bright" idea and held the film up to my white background on my computer screen and made the screen as bright as I could and took my digital camera and snapped a few (not so perfect) images. Will have to download them and print them at the store tomorrow, then copy them to my pc, etc. I don't have the attachments to print from my camera to the computer. (behind on times)lol
They may not be that clear though.
I just may have to take them back to the vet's and ask them to snap a pic of them there.
What we go thru.....phew!

I tried to scan her hip pic on my Epson Stylus RX620 scanner,
and it came out black, but check-out how my ankle x-ray came
out on the same scanner........OUCH
Cool huh??

Mirasmom, I think YOUR xray would pass OFA too

by Blitzen on 15 November 2007 - 16:11
