Hi Andria
What colour was the mother? Was she black and gold or was she a sable?

The dog is full blood though? But you didn't get papers because it was a family pet? $50 would have been sufficient I think! If you didn't get papers etc. they shouldn't charge you hundreds of dollars for a pup! Hope they didn't that is!

andria, she looks to be a pretty pup - i don't know enough about that to advise you. the others who have responded know much more. i will say that her lineage may not be so important as her tempement. take advantage of LEXI's offer for help with books for training. as your pup gets older, you'll discover more about her personality; you can adjust your training accordingly. as she gets older, post an occasional pic, alot of us would enjoy seeing her change. good luck to you...k

Andria -
Very pretty puppy you got there. Are you sure she is purebred? Only reason I ask is that she looks very similar to a Mal. color....way to many people are finding it acceptable to cross breed these dogs and sell them as one breed or another. :(

Most sable GSDs are that color as pups.

HI gsdfan123
I am going to be doing obiedience to start with with her and then agility to keep her occupied, i am use to the breed as was bought up as a child around them as my dad was in ravc, plus i have worked with security dogs, and have a 6 year old rottie x gsd so know they can be a handful if not worked or exercised properly. My vet has confirmed what you have all said and she is sable
thanks for all your help
Andria
