23" at 5.5 months is actually on target to hit 65cm or only go over by a small amount.
A good rule is that a male gains 2-3 cm after 7 months.
And he gains 2-3 cm between 6 and 7 months.
And 3-4 between 5 and 6 months.
So he is 58+ cm and will gain 4(1/2)+2.5+2.5=7 cm so your dog is going to be between 65 and 66 cm. That''s my estimate.
What does he weigh? He could easily gain another 20 lbs by 12 months and a little more after that.
Of course, dogs vary. Further, if you are feeding him very well now, I think he is closer to his final weight than if you are keeping him overly thin, which slows growth.

He weighs 50 lbs as of last week. I weighed him at 18 1/2 weeks. That is "supposed to be the half weight. He was 40 lbs but he was on the thin side. He was under wieght according to the Vet from 12 to 16 weeks but really started putting it on and growing. I didn't see his sire when I picked him up as he is co-owned by 2 breeders. The one that is keeping his sire emailed me after she saw this post and said I could come down and see him if I brought the puppy of course. She also said his pups grow early and you think they will be over sized but slow down.

what is the issue if this dog become too big ?? it is not a dog for the breed... its a LH so whats the big deal?
