Oh nooo Iluvmygsd-don't you know to NEVER let a pirate know you're tipsy?  Capn Mike maybe a strategically placed barnacle? I think maybe you had too much local water (or something else) in the South Seas.

4pack that was a great one!

The suggestions given here about less food, perhaps the food not being the right food for the pup etc., are all good suggestions. However, anytime one has a pup or dog for that matter with less than solid stool, the ABSOLUTE FIRST thing to check is whether the pup or dog has parasites. As a minimum, a pup should probably be wormed at least three different times at appropriate times while it is young. Depending on the parasite burden, it can take several treatments to get rid of the parasites. There are many reasons why pups can continue to reinfect themselves as well. With less than solid stool, though it is a pain to do so, I strongly recommend that you consider taking a teaspoon of fresh stool in a plastic baggie to your vet and have them look at it under a microscope. I might do this several times before I move onto some other change. If there are parasites, bacteria etc., appropriate treatment should help clear the stool up so it is firm and formed. Remember, there are other parasites and bacterial infections other than worms which can also give loose stool. The food you are feeding is a good food, but sometimes a pup or dog will do better on another food. And, sometimes feeding smaller amounts is also a key. You might try feeding less at a time even though you take in a stool sample and/or treat for parasites. Royal Canin does make a fine food for pups too and I use it frequently. Good luck.

Capn Mike I hope you paid attention to Hodie's post. These are things you could be dealing with. A word to the wise.
