sounds like dermodectic    and it is not contagious     funny both have it

Wrong--contrary to popular misconception. As I posted several months ago, in my old schutzhund club, many GSD puppies of  different bloodlines, living in diifferent homes, all using the same puppy sleeve or bite roll, came down with demodex (apparently, a very resistant strain) within the same time frame. What's more, some dogs that remained at home also contracted demodex from their buddies who had trained with the club.

I provided my own protection equipment for my boy and fed him a raw diet. He was one of the few youngsters in the club not to develop demodex.

Indeed, demodex may be itchy if accompanied by secondary staph pyoderma.
